Summary
This is a plastic desktop model of the Q-5 target drone. Lockheed built these vehicles in the 1950s for the Air Force to use as a target for surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles. Launched from the ground, the vehicle's ramjet took over after the booster burned out.
Lockheed made the model and donated it to the Museum in 1958.
