Summary
This is a model of unknown scale of the AGM-65A, the first of several Maverick air-to-surface missiles built by Hughes. It had a solid-fuel motor, a range of over 17 miles, a 125 lb conventional warhead, and an electro-optical television guidance system. The missile was first deployed with the U.S. Air Force in 1972. Improved versions are still in service with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps. John and Cynthia Heyde donated this model to NASM on an unknown date.
