    Object Details

    Summary

This is a concept model for an electric propulsion vehicle for a manned mission to Mars. There is very little information about the model in the Museum's acquisition file, so it is not known what features or technologies the model represents or exactly when it was created. The model was attributed to Ernst Stuhlinger, a member of the German rocket engineering team working with Wernher von Braun at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
NASA transferred the model to the Museum in 1974.
