A long rectangular box with an image of the Spirit of St. Louis inside of a yellow box. Text in the box gives the pieces included in the kit along with the measurements of the kit. The kit contains multiple pieces of balsa wood bound together by tape. Flat pieces of wood have the outline of pieces of the aircraft with the name of each piece in the center of the outline in black lettering. Two metal rods are also included in the kit along with two decal sheets with decals such as "N-X-211" and "Spirit of St. Louis" 1/16 Scale

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
