Summary
In 1963, free-lance photographer Jim Wallace - later director of the Smithsonian's Office of Printing and Photographic Services - recorded Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, 1963 march on Washington. Wallace's photographs were among those presented in the "March on Washington: The Wind and Fire of a Dream," an exhibit which opened at the National Museum of American History in time for the twentieth anniversary of the march on August 28, 1983. Printed in the "Torch," August 1983.
