Summary
This life vest consisting of a belt with attached pouches is part of the survival equipment issued to Neil Armstrong, and was flown aboard Apollo 11 in July 1969.
The pouches contain inflatable spheres to assist the astronaut in staying afloat until able to inflate the survival raft.
It was transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA in 1979.
