Summary
The 80mm Zeiss Xenotar lenses were standard lenses for Maurer cameras on human spaceflight missions during Project Gemini. The equipment available for these photographic work during Gemini was extensive, including lenses of different focal lengths, special filters, and extra film magazines, which increased the types and amount of photographic work astronauts could do in space.
This lens was transferred from NASA to the Museum in 1972.
