This is a metal launch pad for launching flying rocket models. The triangular shaped piece of metal at the top is for deflecting the hot exhaust of the motors.
It was probably made by G. Harry Stine, an American pioneer in the field of flying rocket models. He donated it to the Museum in 1973.
