Summary
Lindon Smith recounts his river voyage from Aswan to Luxor on the ship "Aboo-Simbel," describing activities and other passengers on the boat, and the sketching and painting he did at various landmarks of Egyptian antiquities along the way, including Karnak and Luxor Temple. He often refers to himself in the third person.
Lindon Smith's entries end on February 24th. Entries from February 26th through March 19, documenting the trip on the "Bijou," a different ship, are in a different hand, possibly Lindon Smith's father Henry Francis Smith (based on references to Joe, Corinna, and "Mother").
Items scanned after back cover (loose notes, photographs, news clippings) are materials that were interleaved in diary.
