    Description

    1962 Topps football card #28 featuring Cleveland Brown fullback Jim Brown, whose name is presented as "Jimmy."
    After a stellar collegiate career at Syracuse University, Jim Brown played professional football for the Cleveland Browns (1957-1965). The speedy running back, who led the National Football League (NFL) in rushing in eight of his nine seasons, was 1957's NFL Rookie of the Year, a three-time Most Valuable Player (1957, 1958, 1965) and and eight-time first-team All-Pro. In 1964, Brown helped lead Cleveland to the NFL Championship.
    For his career, Brown gained 12,312 yards on the ground with 106 rushing touchdowns. He also had 262 receptions, 20 of which were for scores.
    After his career, Brown had a successful acting career, performing in films such as 1967's "The Dirty Dozen," 1974's "Three the Hard Way," and 1987's "The Running Man". He was elected to both the College Football and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
