Description
A 33 1/3 long-playing stereo album record (a) and jacket (b) of I’ll Go recorded by Shirley Caesar with the Institutional Choir of Brooklyn.
On the front cover of the album jacket (b), Shirley Caesar is depicted standing against a blue-grey studio backdrop, wearing a long pink robe with a bow at the front bottom half. Her arms are raised, her dark hair is brushed close to her head, and her eyes are closed. Above her head in large yellow and orange print is: [Shirley Caesar / I’ll Go]. At the bottom right of the cover between two short horizontal bars, in small yellow print, is [HOB]. Below that in smaller black print is the release number [HOB 266].
On the reverse of the album jacket is an off-white background with the title and artist name, track lists, and album notes written by Anthony Heilbut. From the top right corner, downward – in small black print, is [HOB 266] and: [I’ll Go / Shirley / Caesar / SIDE A / I’ll Go / He Holdeth The Reins / I’m Glad I Found Jesus / Rapture / When The Trouble Comes / You May not Believe It / SIDE B / Choose Ye This Day / Jesus Is All / Don’t Be Afraid / Waiting On The Promise of Jesus / Battle Field].
There is one black double-sided record (a) with a grey HOB Records label at the top printed in black ink. Each side has the album title, artist name, track listing, production credits and publishing information.
