"The Harlem Renaissance," an episode of Here At The Smithsonian, aired in 1986. The exhibition featured in this video focuses on the Harlem Renaissance. After World War II, there was an explosion of creative output from African American artists, writers, and musicians in Harlem. Art of all kinds flourished, and there was a renewed focus on Africa and its past within the arts being produced.
