Summary
This lightweight communications headset was worn by astronaut Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969. Though the astronauts wore a full communications cap under their helmets with their spacesuits, this headset was lighter and less confining so used more regularly during normal operations inside the spacecraft.
NASA transferred this tube to the Museum in 1970 with other Apollo 11 equipment.
