    Physical Description

    United States Army Air Service (USAAS) issued flying goggles; aluminum frames with cotton eye cups with fleece padding; glass lenses with discolored xylonite anti-shatter coating; broken white elastic strap.

    Summary

    These flying goggles were a British design and were issued to American military aviators as part of their standard flying equipment during World War I.
