Summary
This glove is part of the pair worn by Wally Schirra, Command Pilot of the Gemini 6 flight in December, 1965. The mission called for rendezvous with Gemini 7 which was achieved to within six inches.
G4-C gloves were constructed of HT nylon. The gloves featured a strap and buckle adjustment around the wrist and palm, and the red and blue anodized aluminum wrist disconnects. There is a steel palm bar in between the layers of the gloves, finger lights on first and second finger, and a battery pack pocket on upper surface.
Transferred from NASA in to the Museum in 1968.
