This triangular model is divided into eight pieces that fit in a plastic box. The pieces may be arranged to form the same triangle two different ways.
The patttern for this model (found in 1979.3002.53) is dated June 3, 1932. There it is called 8TS'. There is a second undated drawing of the model in the same folder.
This is Wheeler's model 8TS in his list of decompositons of polygons.
