Description
The four pieces of this hinged dissection can be arranged as a parallelogram or a triangle. The plastic that covers the pieces has been chosen so that a parallelogram appears inscribed in both forms of the model.
This is Wheeler's transfomation 4Y. See 1979.3002.43 (folder 2) and 1979.3002.43 (folder1).
The drawing in folder 1 is dated January 20, 1932. It is entitled "Parallelogram into a Triangle."
An annotation with the drawing attributes it to Taylor. Messanger of Mathematics, Aug 1905-April 1906, pp. 96-97. See also 1979.3002.50.
