    Object Details

    Artist

Brent Kee Young, born Los Angeles, CA 1946

    Luce Center Label

Each detailed image depicted on Tight Loop Comin is lampworked in clear glass, using a small torch to manipulate the glass into intricate skeletons based on authentic North American archaeological fossils. Brent Kee Young pushes the pieces into the colored glass of his vessels, building up heavy layers of clear glass over the top so that the skeletons seem to disappear, leaving only their imprint.

    Luce Object Quote

“What is important is not seemingly there . . . ” Brent Kee Young
