Summary

Manufactured by U.S. Keds, these sneakers, sometimes called boots, were worn by William P. "Bill" Suitor when he served as a Rocket Belt pilot for Bell Aerosystems from March 1964 to June 1970. He made many flights, including flights on the Bell No. 2 Rocket Belt in the collections of the National Air and Space Museum.
Suitor donated these items to the Museum in 2004.
