SCNHRB has two copies.

SCNHRB copy 1 (39088002787422, 39088004452876) has, in unidentified hand (possibly Girard's or Spencer Fullerton Baird's) marginalia, as well as sheets of handwritten notes and fragments in pencil and ink loosely inserted (removed to a separate folder).

SCNHRB copy 1 has extra illustrations: original drawings (some hand-colored) mounted opposite to each mounted plate.

SCNHRB copy 1 issued with (?) superceded "Introductory remarks," 2 pages in vol. 1, as well as four reports by Girard and one by G. Suckley (cf.
