Description

Our first installment of the 2012 Festival Audio series features a musical tribute to D.C. legend Chuck Brown. Meshell Ndegeocello's interpretation of the hit "Bustin' Loose" is done with a ton of class here. The vocals are absent as is the man himself - never to be forgotten!

There will be more tributes to Chuck Brown at this year's Folklife Festival including a day-long event on July 7 that you can read more about here.

This recording was made on June 27, 2012, at the Panorama Room stage on the Mall during the Bring Back The Funk concert that was produced by the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Enjoy!
