    Description

This Topps basketball card features a recap of the 1972-1973 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals series between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks. The front of the card features an in-game action photo of Boston Celtics players Dave Cowens and Paul Silas defending a shot by an unidentified member of the Hawks. The card’s reverse has the dates and scores of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semi-Final series, which Boston won in six games.
The Boston Celtics roster in this series featured five players who had been or would later become NBA All-Stars: Dave Cowens, Paul Silas, John Havlicek, Jo Jo White, and Paul Westphal. The Atlanta Hawks featured three such players with Lou Hudson, Pete Maravich, and Walt Bellamy.
