When played, the metallic vibrations of the drum's rattles combine with the drumbeats to produce a more percussive sound. The body and drumhead are similar to many African drums, but the narrow, ringed midsection and stool-like base are unusual.
Description
Goblet form wood drum with ringed stem on four legs and metal wing forms edged in rings attached with hide to the body.
