    Description

Della Big Hair-Stump, the designer of this dress, has trained since she was young to make dresses. She named this dress "Donna" after her grandmother, whose beads are woven into the upper part of the dress. Making dresses is part of a long tradition among Crow women, who have to obtain permission and knowledge to make dresses, because not everyone is allowed to do so.
Physical object description: The dress has a v-shaped neckline with thin straps of velvet-like material. The bust of the dress is beaded with a multi-colored flower and geometric pattern. There is a defined waist under the bust that has a horizontal blue and yellow stripe in the wool material. The bottom of the dress is a mermaid cut, with the upper portion consisiting of wool that stops at the knee and continuing with multiple layers of tulle. The wool portion below the waist is decorated with 5 beaded stripes of multiple colors along with 5 small triangles at the bottom of the wool portion in the front of the dress. In between the wool and the tulle portions is a stripe of red metallic fabric. The center of the back of the dress is made from the same striped wool material as the waistline in the front and has yellow and blue stripes running vertically. There is a zipper running down the back of the dress.
