Summary

Natural History docents threw a party in the Associates Court Dining Room for weekday Highlights Docent Gina Pragan, who turned 90 on June 20. Pictured are: Gina Pragan (front row, second from right) with, from left, Docent Barbara Demers, Assistant Director for Education Laura McKie, Education Specialist Rebecca Mead (with beads), Docent Helen Heard & a host of other well-wishing docents and staffers. Pragan came into the program in 1975, when she was recruited with other volunteers who could speak various languages for the expected influx of foreign visitors during the Bicentennial. Pragan, a native of Poland, speaks Polish and German. She has stayed on ever since, giving tours in English that cover the whole museum and take approximately two hours.
