    Physical Description

    Luftwaffe Officer's dress dagger; steel blade dagger with black leather bound handle and stylized winged hilt; silver wire pommel and hilt with embossed Swastika; steel sheath steel with black leather cover; steel chain hanger.

    Summary

    The donor collected this dagger in Germany during the immediate post-war period. He served the U.S. Third Army G-2 Intelligence branch from late June 1944 until the late summer of 1945.
