    Summary

    This cosmic ray experiment is an unflown flight back-up canister identical to the Gemini experiment S-009 flown on Gemini XI in 1966. The experiment was meant to measure cosmic ray flux at orbital altitudes.
    The Naval Research Laboratory donated this object to the Smithsonian in 2007.
