They produce pharmaceuticals to fight disease. And they add $300 BILLION annually to the global economy. We need healthy oceans and coral reefs. 2. Dr. Mary Hagedorn is a coral fertility specialist. She pioneered techniques, similar to those in human sperm banks, to freeze and store coral sperm and stem cells. That banked genetic material is potentially viable forever.
