    Luftwaffe officer's service coat; single breasted with 4 silver buttons down front; 2 upper pockets with box pleats and 2 lower button flap pockets; yellow collar insignia and yellow rank insignia shoulder boards showing the rank of Hauptman (captain); silver cord on right shoulder for group adjutant; silver wire Luftwaffe eagle insignia on right breast; German Cross in gold on right upper pocket; figther badge on upper left breast; ribbons on top of upper left pocket; Iron Cross First Class on left pocket; aviator badge below left pocket.

    Summary

    This is an example of a standard issue Luftwaffe officer's uniform coat worn during World War II. Although the coat has numerous examples of awards and decorations there is no information available concerning who wore this particular coat.
