Description
Clairol introduced Summer Blonde Hair Lightener in the mid-1960s with the promise: "be a summer blonde all year round." The box contains Blondessence Developing Lotion in an applicator bottle, a bottle of Summer Blonde lightener, gloves and instructions. Product advertising claimed the lightener would leave blonde hair looking like it was “dipped in sunshine,” brunette hair “glowing warm and golden,” or red hair “lit up with a sunny brightness."
