Notes
Smith and Sturm belonged to one of the Smithsonian's skate "clubs." The club practiced at the National Gallery of Art's Sculpture Garden outdoor rink in the winter and were awarded the Walter C. Sheen and Sidney Asher trophies Ice Club of Washington for Male and Female Skaters of 1980 for their ice dancing achievements throughout the year.
