Summary
This is a package of space food chocolate that is similar to the kind that one can buy on the streets of any large city in the former Soviet Union. The chocolate can be broken into small pieces inside its plastic container and the cosmonaut does not risk shedding crumbs in the spacecraft.
This specimen was not flown in space. An American donor gave it to the museum in the 1970s.
