Tough Case for Apple iPhone 8 Plus. In this series of work, titled Side Dimes, Mikayla Lapierre remixes 18th and 19th century European paintings with pop culture references. The mobile phone/cellphone case is shiny black on the exterior with a full color print, in stark relief, of an old painting depicting a young woman in formal dress, typical of classical portraiture, modified by the addition of a bubblegum bubble to make it appear the woman is blowing a bubble. The case liner is a matte black silicone frame. Portals created in the case provide access to phone buttons and plugs.
