    This is a small to medium orchid with a bright yellow flower that grows on rocks.

    Bloom Time (Northern Hemisphere)

    January to October; peaks in February to April

    Medicinal / Pharmaceutical

    This orchid was used in Brazil as a demulcent (substance that sooths minor pain and inflammation of mucous membranes).
