From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Canopic jar lid, ceramic, c. 1550-1398 BC. Lids of canopic jars represented the four Sons of Horus. The human head of Imsety, protector of the liver, sits atop this lid.
