Summary
The inclusion of a portable TV camera on the Apollo missions was controversial from the outset. Of little planned engineering or scientific value, the major purpose was to share Apollo experiences with audiences on Earth. Built by RCA, this camera was used by Apollo astronauts for training. It is essentially identical to the camera actually used during early Apollo missions.
NASA transferred this camera to NASM in 1972.
