Object Details

Description

Self-sticking bumper stickers became a technological possibility in the mid-twentieth centuries and started to become popular with presidential campaigns in 1952. This 1988 sticker promoted Vice President George H.W. Bush, the Republican candidate for president and his running mate Senator Dan Quayle of Indiana. They defeated their Democratic opponents Michael Dukakis, governor of Massachusetts, and Lloyd Bentsen, senior senator from Texas.
