    Description

    This handheld electronic calculator has tan plastic case and an array of ten digit keys as well as clear and decimal point key. Left of the digit keys are a percentage key and four memory keys. Four arithmetic function keys and a total key are left of the memory keys. The keyboard also has an on/off switch and a summation switch. A tag behind the keyboard reads: brother 827R (/) INTERNATONAL CORPORATION. Behind this is an eight-digit red LED display with a plastic cover. An attachment for an adapter is on the top edge at the right.
    A tag at the top of the back of the calculator reads: brother INTERNATIONAL CORP. (/) YOUR NEW BROTHER CALCULATOR (/) IS OF THE FINEST PRECISION CONST- (/) RUCTION, MANUFACTURED UNDER (/) RIGID QUALITY CONTROL IN (/) SOME OF THE WORLD’S MOST (/) MODERN FACTORIES. Further text reads: MADE IN HONG KONG. A storage compartment for batteries is below.
    The calculator has a black plastic carrying case with a snap at the top. A mark on the case reads: brother.
    The Brother 827R was advertised in The Bridgeport Post in May of 1975 as on sale for $24.90.
