Physical Description

Colored etching of a balloon aloft over a city with a figure in the gondola. Only the balloon is colored. The etching has been adhered to a larger paper.

Uncolored photocopy of a similar engraving from the Holland Express attached to mat behind the etching. Caption for the copy says, 'De ballon van Blanchard te's-Gravenhage [the Hague] 1787.'
