Retailers often displayed this brass belt buckle endorsing Democratic nominee Jimmy Carter alongside a similar buckle for his Republican opponent President Gerald Ford with the slogan “Let the Candidate of Your Choice Support You for a Change.” Carter defeated Ford in a close election.
