Summary
This bag was used to hold inflight excersie equipment used by the astronauts on Apollo 11 during the mission. Astronauts need frequent exercise during spaceflight to maintain muscle tone. Like any piece of equipment used in space, it was important the exerciser have a container to prevent it from damaging anything and making access simple when needed. This bag has a drawstring closure.
NASA transferred this bag to the Musuem with other Apollo 11 equipment in 1972.
