Scope and Contents

Fish or salmon wheel on a raft seen from the side in the Columbia River in Oregon. Fish wheels were water-powered nets that scooped up migrating salmon and steelhead that were funneled into the "wheel." After netting, the fish were dropped into a holding bin. Note the size of this device by locating the man standing on the deck.
