Research Materials

This subseries includes magazine articles, census surveys, biographical information, background notes for chapters, copyright claims, correspondence, travel notes, publishing literature, newspaper clippings, maps, family documents, photographs, library and archival sources, lyrics, interview notes, album anthologies, book reviews, and web searches. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order by the subjects McCormick used as folder titles. Followed by subjects are groups of materials found in between folders. It is assumed that the materials were to be interfiled later. Materials were put in folders, labelled as research notes, and arranged in chronological order. Folders were also removed pending a Smithsonian Shared Stewardship and Ethical Returns investigation.
