Scope and Contents

Compilation reel of jazz performances. The first four segments begin with title cards that read "U.M. + M. TV Corporation presents." The last segment has no titles but appears to be an excerpt from the 1945 film Tonight and Every Night. A list of the contents was attached to the original film canister and has been transcribed as follows: Duke Ellington Orchestra - Symphony in Black Duke Ellington Orchestra - Bundle of Blues (Rockin' in Rhythm - Stormy Weather - Bugle Call Rag) Hoagy Carmichael with Jack Teagarden Orchestra and vocalist Meredith Blake (Two Sleepy People - That's Right, I'm Wrong - Washboard Blues - Lazybones - Small Fry - Rockin' Chair - Stardust) Prof. Lamberti (incl. Rita Hayworth) vaude act
