Scope and Contents
This series includes personal diaries; loose correspondence, newspaper clippings; memorial service for George Shattuck Morison (1903); unidentified print (undated); and a copy of the Polytechnic, Vol. XI (1894) from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute containing a lecture Morison delivered.
The bulk of this series consists of personal pocket diaries that Morsion maintained. The personal diaries, 1863-1903, document his daily activities, some of which are business-related. Some diaries have associated loose materials which include correspondence, business cards (primarily for business associates), sketches, notes, newspaper clippings, opthamology prescriptions, and a subpoena. Loose materials were separated and filed with the appropriate diary. The diaries are approximately 3" x 6" and are arranged chronologically.
