Scope and Contents
Materials consist primarily of black and white and color prints. There are also a small number of negatives and slides documenting WANN Radio station and offices, its equipment, employees and community activities. The earliest photographs are of the fire that occurred in 1948. There are some photographs documenting the construction of WANN Radio facilities in 1973. Portraits of Morris Blum and other WANN employees, used for publicity purposes, in the studio and at public events are also found throughout these materials. Most notable are the prints that document the station's activities at Carr's Beach with African American artists and musicians such as Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown. The materials are arranged in alphabetical order by the name of the person, event, organization or location.
