Scope and Contents note
The bulk of the material is from 1890 to 1929. Most of the items from after 1940 are piano teaching aids. All pieces are for solo piano except the Fast Mail Galop (1898) for mandolin. Marches, two-steps and program music (musical imitations of a train) are the most popular forms. (circa 100 items)
