Scope and Contents note
The bulk of this material is from the 1890s to the 1910s. All of the pieces are for solo piano. Most of the music is marches or waltzes; also included are reveries and programmatic pieces. Covers feature drawings or photographs of ships or sailboats. Many pieces are about actual ships and give detailed pictures of the outside of the vessel and several inside views (e.g. The Empress of Ireland Waltz). Also included are several warships.
