Rust Craft Card Company Records

This series includes ten cubic feet of sample books of greeting cards, additional greeting cards not in volumes, and audio visual materials. Primarily includes sample books of greeting cards and a few other types of material in volumes. There are additional greeting cards not in volumes and audio visual materials. Other materials in this series include additional products of the Rust Craft Company such as tallies, gift cards, and party invitations; artwork; promotional materials; materials of Rust Craft designer Ernest Dudley Chase; Fiftieth Anniversary materials; and a trowel and plaque. There are over three hundred sample books containing Rust Craft greeting cards (and some by Greetings, Incorporated, a division of Rust Craft). The sample books listed here constitute a small portion of the total number of these books. The remainder is located in off site storage and waits processing. There are also bound volumes of gift wrapping samples, press clippings, additional greeting cards, and photos. The greeting cards that are not in volumes, circa 1920-1980, are arranged by season or occasion. The audio visual materials include several hundred slides, a cassette tape, and motion picture films dealing with the sales and manufacturing of greeting cards.
