Aviation by Year, Black and White, Mixed Formats

Folders containing proof sheets and negatives are grouped by roll. Film strips making up a roll are presented in frame number order. Folders identified as "Proof Sheets and Negatives" contain 8 x 10 inch black and white contact printed proof sheet photographs created by Ron Burda; most have a glassine envelope taped to the reverse containing the 35mm black and white negatives (cut into strips of approximately 6 frames each) used to print the sheet. Many of the sheets include handwritten notes made by Burda. Folders identified as "Enlargements" contain 8 x 10 inch black and white print photograph enlargements created by Ron Burda from his original 35mm black and white negatives. Digital scans of individual frames selected from a specific roll appear first, followed by digital scans of the roll's contact sheet, then (if available) a digital scan (inverted) of the roll itself (in plastic negative strip page). At this time, only a small portion of the roll film has been digitized.
